VEGF145 Protein, Human (HEK293, solution)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
VEGF145 Protein is a subtype of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A). VEGF-A is a key member of the VEGF family of cytokines that can promote neovascularization and increase vascular permeability. VEGF145 Protein, Human (HEK293) is the recombinant human-derived VEGF145 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with tag free. The total length of VEGF145 Protein, Human (HEK293) is 145 a.a., with molecular weight of ~16.92 kDa.

Background
VEGF145 is a subtype of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A). VEGF-A is a growth factor active in angiogenesis, vasculogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. VEGF-A induces endothelial cell proliferation, promotes cell migration, inhibits apoptosis, and induces permeabilization of blood vessels. VEGF-A binds to the FLT1/VEGFR1 and KDR/VEGFR2 receptors, as well as heparan sulfate and heparin. It also binds to the NRP1/neuropilin-1 receptor. When VEGF-A binds to NRP1, it initiates a signaling pathway needed for motor neuron axon guidance and cell body migration, including the caudal migration of facial motor neurons from rhombomere 4 to rhombomere 6 during embryonic development. Additionally, VEGF-A binds to the DEAR/FBXW7-AS1 receptor.
Verified Bioactivity
