3,4,9,10-Perylenetetracarboxylic-diimide (10 μM; 24 h) significantly enhances the degradation efficiency of TiO photocatalyst towards methylene blue, with the degradation rate exceeding 80%[1].

Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs).
1. Ultraviolet-Visible Absorption Spectroscopy (UV-vis) Detection[1]
1.1 Sample Preparation: Dissolve PTCDI in DMSO.
1.2 Instrument: Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometer.
1.3 Detection Wavelength Range: 400-650 nm.
1.4 Operation Steps: Use pure solvent as blank control, scan the absorption spectrum of the sample, and record the position and absorption intensity of the maximum absorption peak.
2. Photoluminescence (PL) Spectroscopy Detection[2]
2.1 Sample Preparation: Same as UV-vis detection.
2.2 Instrument: Fluorescence Spectrometer.
2.3 Excitation Wavelength: 254 nm.
2.4 Detection Wavelength Range: 600-800 nm.
2.5 Operation Steps: Set the excitation wavelength to 254 nm and the slit width to 5 nm. Scan the emission spectrum, and record the intensities of the main peak (695 nm) and shoulder peak (717 nm).
