Descripciòn

TOPS is a chromogenic substrate. TOPS undergoes an oxidative coupling reaction with 4-aminoantipyrine in the presence of H2O2 and nanocrystalline cobalt selenide. TOPS is used in studies related to uric acid detection[1].

In Vitro

TOPS (3.2 mM) reacts with 4-AAP in the presence of H2O2 and nanocrystalline cobalt selenide to produce a purple product with a maximum absorbance at 550 nm[1].
