HIV-1 gp140 Protein (646a.a, HEK293, Fc)

HIV-1 gp140 Protein is the gp160 ectodomain, and can lead to the production of trimers that can mimic the native Env spike. HIV-1 gp140 trimers is able to elicit neutralizing antibody responses in immunized animals^[1][2]. HIV-1 gp140 Protein (646a.a, HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant Virus-derived HIV-1 gp140 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

HIV-1 gp140 Protein trimers is the uncleaved ectodomains of (gp160)₃, gp140, has been used as a surrogate for the native state of the cleaved, viral spike. The HIV-1 gp140 trimer has nearly all of the antigenic properties expected for native viral spikes. HIV-1 gp140 Protein can be used for research of vaccine development^[1]. HIV-1 gp140 trimers is able to elicit neutralizing antibody responses in immunized animals^[2].

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized HIV-1 gp140 at 2μg/mL (100μL/well) can bind Human CD4. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 0.1687 μg/mL.

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH₂O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
