NRG1-beta 1 Protein, Human (245a.a, HEK293, Fc)

HRG1-β1 belongs to a family of structurally-related polypeptide growth factors derived from alternatively spliced genes, induces Fn14 expression in MCF7 cells. NRG1-beta 1 Protein, Human (245a.a, HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived NRG1-beta 1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-hFc labeled tag.

HRG1-β1 activates HER2/HER3 signaling and up-regulate Fn14 gene expression in parental MCF7 cells. HRG1-β1-mediated Fn14 up-regulation in MCF7/HER2-18 cells is required for maximal MMP-9 production.

3. Measured in a serum-free cell proliferation assay using MCF-7 human breast cancer cells. The ED₅₀ this effect is 0.1087-7.029 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 1.4227×10⁵ - 9.20×10⁶ units/mg.

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH₂O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
