Sodium 2-ethylhexyl sulfate (40% in water) has unique chemical properties that make it an effective ingredient in many applications, helping to reduce surface tension and enhance cleaning power.
In Vivo	Sodium 2-ethylhexyl sulfate (40% in water) (0.01%-1.25%; oral administration, subcutaneous injection, intraperitoneal injection, intravenous injection, inhalation, etc.; single dose or 90-day, 2-year etc. long-term administration) shows "mild toxicity" under acute exposure in experimental animals such as rats, mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits. Sub-chronic administration causes slight pathological changes in the kidneys and liver, and long-term administration is safe^[1].
