Sodium sulfate anhydrous, meets analytical specification of Ph. Eur. BP USP  (Synonyms: Disodium sulfate, meets analytical specification of Ph. Eur. BP USP)

Cat. No.: HY-Y0317I
Handling Instructions Technical Support

Sodium sulfate anhydrous (Disodium sulfate), meets analytical specification of Ph. Eur. BP USP is an orally active multifunctional ionic salt that serves as a protein precipitant, collagen fibril bundling inducer, and chlorine-free sodium source. Sodium sulfate anhydrous, meets analytical specification of Ph. Eur. BP USP promotes collagen fibril bundling to increase matrix pore size, alters cancer cell morphology and regulates their migration direction via geometric signals, and separates plasma/serum proteins or concentrates proteins at 37°C without causing thermal denaturation. In poultry farming applications, Sodium sulfate anhydrous, meets analytical specification of Ph. Eur. BP USP improves laying performance and eggshell quality, and is safe and effective at an addition level of 0.3-1.5%, while a high concentration of 3.0% causes negative physiological effects. Sodium sulfate anhydrous, meets analytical specification of Ph. Eur. BP USP can be widely applied in scientific research on cervical cancer and related fields.

In Vitro

Nitrogen medium containing Sodium sulfate anhydrous (5-50%; 48 h) is used to modify collagen matrices. Compared with cells on normal collagen, HeLa cells cultured on this modified matrix exhibit reduced spreading, smaller cell area and perimeter, a rounder morphology, and no loss of cell viability[1].
Nitrogen medium containing Sodium sulfate anhydrous (20-50%; 3 h 30 min) is used to modify collagen matrices. This modification reduces the migration speed, migration distance, and migration persistence of HeLa cells seeded on the matrices, and the peak turning angle converges to 90° more rapidly compared with cells on normal collagen[1].

Cell Viability Assay[1]

Cell Line: human cervical cancer (HeLa) cells
Concentration: 5-50% volume ratio (sodium sulfate-containing N-solution used to modify collagen matrices)
Incubation Time: 48 h
Result: Maintained ~100% cell viability compared to normal collagen. Reduced cell area by 13% (20% N-solution) and 4% (50% N-solution). Reduced cell perimeter by 17% (20% N-solution) and 11% (50% N-solution). Reduced cell aspect ratio to 1.8 at 50% N-solution. Reduced ECM remodeling (interaction between filopodia and collagen fibrils/bundles) on sodium sulfate-modified bundled matrices.
In Vivo

Anhydrous sodium sulfate (0.3-0.6%; p.o.; daily; 56 days) significantly increases the laying rate, egg weight, feed utilization rate and eggshell quality of Hy-Line White laying hens[3].
Anhydrous sodium sulfate (1.5%, 3.0%; p.o.; daily; 56 days) shows no adverse effects at the 1.5% dose, while the 3.0% dose causes significant adverse effects on laying performance, egg quality, organ function, intestinal health, and cecal microflora[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
