Anti-Fade Mounting Medium (with DAPI) is a mounting reagent designed to retard fluorescence photobleaching and preserve signal intensity during long-term imaging. For immediate observation of samples, please select HY-K1048, a non-solidifying anti-fade mounting medium with DAPI. The 5 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

    Hind paws of mice having CAIA were harvested, frozen in OCT, and processed for immunohistochemistry analysis using anti-mouse CD31 antibody conjugated with PE (red), followed by staining with peptide ART-2 conjugated with FITC (green). Also shown is staining by DAPI, a nuclear stain, and the overlay image.

    & Advantages

    MCE AntiFade Mounting Medium (with DAPI) is a sealing reagent used to slow the fluorescence quenching. This reagent is suitable for immobilizing permeabilized cells or tissues, and can slow the fluorescence quenching of various common fluorescent dyes with simple operation and good anti-fluorescence quenching effect. This reagent contains DAPI, and can be used for DAPI staining of cell nuclei while sealing the sections.

    • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

      Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
