Description

Penetratin is a cell-penetrating peptides derived from a nonviral protein. Penetratin can powerfully enhance drug absorption. Penetratin can be used for drug delivery research in the treatment of various diseases[1][2].

In Vitro

Penetratin shows low cytotoxicity against NHC cells with an IC50 higher than 2.5 mM[1].
Penetratin (57-285 μM, 1-4 h) increases cellular uptake in NHC cells[1].
Penetratin increases corneal permeation ability[1].

Penetratin (570 μM, conjunctival administration, three times with 10 min intervals) shows a long lasting retention in the ocular tissues[1].
