Quercetin-3-O-(2′′-O-galloyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside is a orally active phenolic compound that can be isolated from the Geranium species. Quercetin-3-O-(2′′-O-galloyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside has anti-inflammatory activities and has potential application in edema and aortic endothelium-dependent relaxation injury[1].

In Vivo

Quercetin-3-O-(2′′-O-galloyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside (100 mg/kg; p.o.; single dose) attenuates PGE2 (HY-101952)-induced paw edema, carrageenan-induced hind paw edema and p-benzoquinone-induced writhing reaction in male swiss albino mice[1].
Quercetin-3-O-(2′′-O-galloyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside (0.5 mg/ear; apply on the ear; single dose) inhibits 12-O-tetradecanoyl-13-acetate (TPA) -induced ear edema in male swiss albino mice[1].
