ATG3 Protein, Human is a recombinant human Ubiquitin-like-conjugating Enzyme ATG3 expressed in E. coli. ATG3, the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme for the LC3 lipidation process, is essential for autophagy^[1].

Autophagy depends on the E2 enzyme, Atg3, functioning in a conserved E1-E2-E3 trienzyme cascade that catalyzes lipidation of Atg8-family ubiquitin-like proteins^[1].
