Description

BTLA/CD272 Protein, Human (168a.a, HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant human BTLA/CD272 produced in HEK293 cells, with an Fc fragment at the C-terminus. BTLA/CD272 is a suppressor molecule belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily which is involved in the inhibition of immune responses[1].

Background

The B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA/CD272) is a third member of co-inhibitory receptors, which belongs to the CD28 immunoglobulin-superfamily. BTLA/CD272 includes 2 immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIM) in its cytoplasmic region and is expressed on a wide range of hematopoietic cells including T and B lymphocytes, NKT cells, NK cells, macrophages, dendritic cells and follicular T helper T cells[1][2]

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
