DSPE-PEG-Cy5 is a fluorescent lipophilic PEG lipid. DSPE-PEG-Cy5 can insert into cell membranes and localize uniformly on them. DSPE-PEG-Cy5 can serve as a fluorescent model molecule to optimize and validate membrane insertion conditions for cell surface functionalization. DSPE-PEG-Cy5 can be used in research on drug delivery, cancer, and other fields[1].

In Vitro

DSPE-PEG-Cy5 can be efficiently inserted into the cell membrane of CD47KO B16F10 cells[1].
DSPE-PEG-Cy5 shows high membrane modification efficiency, stable anchoring effect, and the strongest co-localization with cell membranes in HepG2 cells after incorporation into Lips600-Cy5[2].
DSPE-PEG-Cy5 can be successfully anchored on the surface of ACDVs, with significant Cy5 fluorescence observed[3].
