Cadherin-1/CD324 is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein that orchestrates homogeneous interactions, promoting cell cohesion and potential cell type sorting. CDH1 regulates epithelial cell adhesion, mobility, and proliferation and acts as an invasive suppressor. Cadherin-1/CD324 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Cadherin-1/CD324 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Cadherin-1, also known as CD324, represents a group of calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins that exhibit preferential homophilic interactions, fostering cohesion in connecting cells and potentially contributing to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. CDH1 is intricately involved in the regulation of cell-cell adhesions, mobility, and proliferation of epithelial cells, playing a significant role as an invasive suppressor. Beyond its adhesion functions, CDH1 serves as a ligand for integrin alpha-E/beta-7, suggesting its involvement in diverse cellular processes. Notably, E-Cadherin/CTF2, a cleavage product of CDH1, contributes to the non-amyloidogenic degradation of Abeta precursors, exerting a strong inhibitory effect on the production of APP C99 and C83.

Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of MCF-7 cells. The ED₅₀ for this effect is 0.51 μg/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 2.67×10³ U/mg.
