IL-23R Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc)

IL-23R Protein, critical in immune response, forms the interleukin-23 receptor by associating with IL12RB1. Binding to IL23, it activates T-cells, NK cells, and potentially macrophage/myeloid cells through Jak-Stat signaling. Associated with autoimmune diseases and tumorigenesis, IL-23R, in the presence of IL12RB1, forms a heterodimeric IL-23 receptor, interacting with JAK2 and activating STAT3. IL-23R Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant rat-derived IL-23R protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Interleukin-23 receptor (IL-23R) plays a critical role in immune response as it forms the interleukin-23 receptor by associating with IL12RB1. It binds to IL23 and triggers the activation of T-cells, NK cells, and potentially certain macrophage/myeloid cells through the Jak-Stat signaling cascade. IL23 is involved in both innate and adaptive immunity, and it likely contributes to the acute response to infection in peripheral tissues. Moreover, IL23 is implicated in autoimmune inflammatory diseases and has been shown to be important in tumorigenesis. When IL12RB1 is present, IL-23R forms a heterodimer, which acts as the IL-23 receptor. It interacts with JAK2 and, in the presence of IL23, activates STAT3. IL23/IL-23R promotes T helper 1 and T helper 17 cell differentiation and proinflammatory cytokine secretion, thereby increasing host bactericidal activity^[1][2][3].
