Demoxepam 

Demoxepam is a major metabolite of Chlordiazepoxide. Demoxepam exhibits cytotoxicity activity against cancer cell lines. Demoxepam has anticonvulsant and anxiolytic effects. Demoxepam has an inhibitory effect on in vitro [³H]tryptophan binding to rat hepatic nuclei^[1][2][3].

Demoxepam (230 μM, 2-48 h) exihibits a cytotoxicity effect against P388 leukemia and B16 melanoma cell lines^[1].
Demoxepam (10^-12-10^-4 M, 2 h) inhibits [³H]tryptophan binding to rat hepatic nuclei^[3].
Demoxepam (25 μL, 40 min) displays comparable affinity for rat GABA_A benzodiazepine binding sites labeled by ³H-flunitrazepam^[4].
