Lipid Concentrate (Chemically Defined) 

MCE Lipid Concentrate (Chemically Defined) is a concentrated lipid solution with a clearly defined chemical composition, which can be added to cell culture media as an additive for serum-free or low-serum cell culture systems. It is suitable for the growth and maintenance of various cell types, such as CHO cells, hybridoma cells, and insect cells. It is widely used in applications such as protein expression in CHO cells, monoclonal antibody production by hybridomas, and virus expression (e.g., vaccines) and biopharmaceutical production in insect cells.

According to experimental requirements, take an appropriate amount of Lipid Concentrate (Chemically Defined) in a sterile environment and add it directly to the cell culture medium. It is suitable for culturing cells in low-serum conditions.

Note: This product has been tested in a variety of cell lines grown in suspension culture at dilutions ranging from 1:100 to 1:1000.

1. This product is an emulsion, appearing as a clear to milky white suspension liquid.

2. This product contains a surfactant and therefore may not be suited for growth of some adherent cell lines. Addition of this product to media containing a surfactant may result in cellular toxicity.

3. Minimize exposure to air. This product contains unsaturated fatty acids, which may oxidize when exposed to air. It is recommended to aliquot the product after opening and minimizes the headspace or fills it with inert gas.

4. Ensure aseptic techniques to avoid contamination. If contamination occurs during use, it is not recommended to filter sterilize, as this may remove the emulsion’s active components.
