Description

Paliurusene A is a betulinic acid-type pentacyclic triterpenoid that can be isolated from the leaves of Paliurus ramosissimus (Lour.) Poir. Paliurusene A induces growth inhibition of human hepatoma cells in vitro. Paliurusene A is applicable to research related to liver cancer[1].

In Vitro

Paliurusene A (Compound 1) (72 h) potently inhibits the proliferation of human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL7404 and QGY7703 cells in vitro, with an IC50 of 3.87 μM against BEL7404 cells and 5.44 μM against QGY7703 cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
