Acetyl hexapeptide-1 (Melitane) is a biomimetic peptide that mimics the activity of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). In skin care products, it is used to induce healthy skin pigmentation, helping to improve uneven skin tone and local paleness. Acetyl hexapeptide-1 also reduces skin erythema and inflammatory responses, and helps repair UV-induced DNA damage, making the skin appear healthier^[1]^[2].
