製品説明

Oleanoglycotoxin A is a saponin present in the berries of Phytolacca dodecandra, with antifertility and molluscicidal activities. Oleanoglycotoxin A prevents pregnancy, reduces the number of embryos, inhibits implantation, terminates established pregnancy, and kills Biomphalaria glabrata. Oleanoglycotoxin A can be used in studies related to schistosomiasis[1][2].

体外実験

Oleanoglycotoxin A is a triglucoside of oleanolic acid with a free carboxylic acid, with the trisaccharide unit attached to the oleanolic acid hydroxyl group, and contains a minor hederagenin-derived component[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

体内実験

Oleanoglycotoxin A (100-250 μg; intrauterine; single injection on Day 4 of pregnancy) prevents implantation in pregnant rats at intrauterine doses of 250 μg and 100 μg on Day 4, with complete inhibition of viable embryos at the 100 μg dose[1].
Oleanoglycotoxin A (100 μg; intrauterine; single injection on Day 6 of pregnancy) terminates established pregnancy in rats at an intrauterine dose of 100 μg on Day 6, resulting in a significant reduction in viable embryos and increase in nonviable/decomposing embryos[1].
Oleanoglycotoxin A (250-500 μg; intrauterine; single injection on Day 1 of pregnancy) reduces viable embryo counts in pregnant rats at an intrauterine dose of 500 μg on Day 1[1].
Oleanoglycotoxin A (250 μg; intrauterine; single injection on Day 4 of pregnancy) causes no histological damage to rat uterine endometrium when administered intrauterine at 250 μg on Day 4 of pregnancy[1].
Oleanoglycotoxin A (3 ppm; aqueous exposure; 24-hour duration) shows potent molluscicidal activity against Biomphalaria glabrata, with an ED90 of 3 ppm at 24 hours[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Sprague-Dawley (mature, 60-day-old female, pregnancy model via mating with fertile males)[1]
Dosage: 100 μg; 250 μg
Administration: intrauterine; single injection on Day 4 of pregnancy
Result: Reduced mean viable embryo count to 0.2 in treated horns at 250 μg.
Reduced mean viable embryo count to 0.0 in treated horns at 100 μg.
Animal Model: Sprague-Dawley (mature, 60-day-old female, pregnancy model via mating with fertile males)[1]

Administration: intrauterine; single injection on Day 6 of pregnancy
Result: Reduced mean viable embryo count to 1.0 in treated horns.
Increased mean nonviable/decomposing embryo count to 4.2 in treated horns.

Dosage: 250 μg; 500 μg
Administration: intrauterine; single injection on Day 1 of pregnancy
Result: Reduced mean viable embryo count to 3.5 in treated horns at 250 μg.
Reduced mean viable embryo count to 1.0 in treated horns at 500 μg.
Animal Model: Sprague-Dawley (mature, 60-day-old female, pregnancy model via mating with fertile males)[1]
Dosage: 250 μg

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
