MCE Coomassie Blue Fast Staining Solution (No Heating, 10×) uses Coomassie Brilliant Blue G250 as the dye. It can be used for rapid, sensitive staining of protein gels in SDS-PAGE or Native-PAGE without contamination, or for detecting residual proteins on PAGE gels after Western Blot transfer. The 25 mL is defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

MCE Coomassie Blue Fast Staining Solution (No Heating, 10×) uses Coomassie Brilliant Blue G250 as the dye. It can be used for rapid, sensitive staining of protein gels in SDS-PAGE or Native-PAGE without contamination, or for detecting residual proteins on PAGE gels after Western Blot transfer.

This product is free of methanol, acetic acid, or other toxic or irritating reagents. It stains quickly, without the need for heating or destaining. Protein bands of 100 ng can be detected in 5 min, and bands as low as 10 ng in 30 min. After staining, the residual staining solution can be rinsed off with tap water for observation and photography. Further rinsing with water on a shaker can completely remove any weak background.

  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

    Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
