In Vivo

No evidence of genotoxicity is observed with N-acetylglycine in vitro bacterial tester strains or in vivo bone marrow micronucleus studies conducted in mice[1].
No mortalities or evidence of adverse effects are observed in Sprague-Dawley rats following acute oral gavage with N-acetylglycine at a dose of 2000 mg/kg of body weight or following repeated dose dietary exposure to N-Acetylglycine at targeted doses of 100, 500, or 1000 mg/kg of body weight/day for 28 days[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
