Certolizumab pegol (Certolizumab) is a recombinant, polyethylene glycosylated, antigen-binding fragment of a humanized monoclonal antibody that selectively targets and neutralizes tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Certolizumab pegol can be used for rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn disease research^[1][2].

Certolizumab pegol (Certolizumab) neutralizes soluble TNFα with an IC₉₀ of 3 ng/mL^[2].
Certolizumab pegol (0-100 μg/mL, 1 h) completely inhibits subsequent production of IL-1β in response to LPS in human monocytes^[2].
Certolizumab pegol does not mediate complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) or antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC)^[2].
Certolizumab pegol does not induce apoptosis of activated human monocytes or peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs) or result in degranulation or loss of cell membrane integrity in polymorphonuclear cells^[2].

  Immobilized TNF-alpha/TNFSF2 Protein, Human (HY-P7058) can bind Certolizumab pegol. The EC₅₀ for this effect is 238 ng/mL.

  Flow cytometric analysis of 1.5X10⁶ RAW264.7 cells treated with 1µg/mL LPS for 24h with Certolizumab pegol (HY-P9953, red). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde. Then stained with the primary antibody at 1/200 dilution for an hour at 4℃. Goat Anti-Human IgG H&L (AF488) (HY-P83776) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution for 30 minutes at 4℃, cells without incubation with primary antibody were used as the unlabeled control (black).
