Expression Purification

MCE TBS-T Powder (1 L of 1×) consists of NaCl, KCl, Tris and Tween 20, and is widely used as washing buffer in immunocytochemistry, FISH or ELISA, and can also be used for antibody dilution and preparation of blocking solution. The 20 pouches are defined as the base specification. All larger sizes correspond to incremental volumes of this base.

    & Advantages

    TBS-T buffer is widely used as washing buffer in immunocytochemistry, FISH or ELISA, and can also be used for antibody dilution and preparation of blocking solution.

    MCE TBS-T Powder (1 L of 1×) consists of NaCl, KCl, Tris and Tween 20. Each pouch can be diluted to 1 L 1× TBS-T buffer, in which the concentration of NaCl is 137 mM, the concentration of KCl is 2.7 mM, the concentration of Tris is 25 mM and the concentration of Tween 20 is 0.05%. This product provides a convenient way to make TBS-T buffer and eliminates the need to weigh and mix individual components.

    Store at room temperature for 3 years.

    Protocol

    1. Add 1 pouch of TBS-T Powder into the cleaned beaker, dissolve with 600 mL distilled water under a magnetic stirrer.

    2. Add distilled water to the solution in step 1 until the total volume is 1 L. The final solution is 1× TBS-T buffer.

    Note: The pH of the 1× TBS-T buffer is 7.4 ± 0.15 @ 25°C.

    • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

      Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
