Administration: Dietary intake (2% Orcinol included in diet), 9 days
Result: Caused an immediate reduction in food intake, which returned to normal after 2 days. Urine pH dropped from 7.8 to 5.1, with increased excretion of ammonium nitrogen. No signs of protein catabolism were observed.
