Pentixafor is a peptide that targets CXCR4. Pentixafor is capable of being labelled with 68Gallium (68Ga) for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging[1][2][3][4]. Pentixafor can be used for the synthesis/research of Radionuclide-Drug Conjugates (RDCs).

In Vitro

[18F]AlF-NOTA-Pentixather (195 pmol, 60 minutes) exhibits significant internalization and high cellular uptake in CXCR4-transfected Chem-1 cells[4].

[68Ga]Pentixafor (15 MBq, intravenous injection, single dose) is suitable for PET imaging in the PC-3 prostate cancer xenograft model[2].
[18F]AlF-NOTA-Pentixather (0.30 MBq, intravenous injection, single dose) can target the CXCR4 receptor for specific PET imaging in the Daudi lymphoma xenograft SCID mouse model[4].

Animal Model: PC-3 prostate cancer xenograft (nude mouse) model[2]
Dosage: 15 MBq (Pentixafor labeled with 68Gallium (68Ga), [68Ga]Pentixafor)

Result: Resulted in moderate contrast in PET imaging performed in the PC-3 tumor model.
Animal Model: Daudi lymphoma xenograft (SCID mouse) model[4]
Dosage: 0.30 MBq ([18F]AlF-NOTA-Pentixather, approx. 195 pmol/0.251 µg)
Administration: Intravenous injection (i.v.), single dose, imaging performed at 60 minutes post-injection
