DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 is a nanocarrier component composed of DSPE and the EGFR-targeting peptide (GE11). DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 specifically binds to EGFR and mediates receptor-mediated endocytosis of micellar drug carriers. DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 can be used for drug delivery[1][2].

In Vitro

DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 mediates enhanced, EGFR-dependent cellular uptake of Doxorubicin (HY-15142A) in EGFR-positive SMMC-7721 cells, with uptake levels 1.4-fold higher than non-targeted micelles, while showing no enhanced uptake in EGFR-negative MCF-7 cells[1].
DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 modified CUR-PTX@GE11-L inhibits HUVEC proliferation, induces G2-M phase arrest, reduces cell migration, and alters HUVEC morphology from spread to spheroid[2].

DiR-loaded DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 micelles exhibit significantly enhanced tumor accumulation in EGFR-positive hepatocellular carcinoma xenografts at all measured time points up to 24 hours post-injection[1].
DSPE-PEG2000-GE11 confers EGFR-targeted accumulation to the CUR-PTX@GE11-L liposomal formulation in subcutaneous liver cancer xenografts in nude mice, with high retention in hepatic, splenic, and pulmonary tissues[2].
