In Vitro

Prifinium bromide inhibits carbamoylcholine chloride (HY-B1208)-induced contraction of isolated guinea pig detrusor muscle, but exerts almost no effect on contractions induced by electrical stimulation, KCl or BaCl₂^[1].
Prifinium bromide exhibits anticholinergic activity in isolated guinea pig ileum, with a relative potency of 0.45 compared with Atropine (HY-B1205)^[2].
