    Description

Glutathione oxidized (L-Glutathione oxidized) is produced by the oxidation of glutathione. Detoxification of reactive oxygen species is accompanied by production of glutathione oxidized. Glutathione oxidized can be used for the research of sickle cells and erythrocytes[1][2].

    IC50 & Target

    Human Endogenous Metabolite

    In Vitro

Increased efflux of Glutathione oxidized leads to glutathione depletion and may weaken the antioxidant defense of sickle erythrocytes[1].
Glutathione oxidized (400 μM) inhibits epithelial sodium channel activity in primary alveolar epithelial T2 cells[2].
Glutathione oxidized will self-assemble to form a gel at high concentrations and should be used as soon as possible and avoid prolonged ultrasonic treatment. Self-assembly will not occur at low concentrations (such as 8 mM).

    Help & FAQs
    • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
