cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol  (Synonyms: (Z)-3,5,4'-Trimethoxystilbene)

cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol ((Z)-3,5,4'-Trimethoxystilbene) is an anti-HCV agent and Tubulin inhibitor, with an IC₅₀ of 4 μM against Tubulin. cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol induces G2/M phase cell cycle arrest, reduces DCLK1, decreases CDK1 levels, blocks phosphorylation of Akt Ser⁴⁷³, and induces the expression of p21^Cip1/Waf1. cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol exhibits anti-tumor and hepatoprotective activities. cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol can be used in studies related to colon adenocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatitis C, and liver injury^[1][2].

cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol potently inhibits the growth of various cancer cell lines, with IC₅₀ values ranging from 0.08 μM (KB cells) to 0.25 μM (Caco-2 cells), and the activity of its cis conformation is 100-fold higher than that of the trans isomer^[1].
cis-Trismethoxy resveratrol (0.3 μM; 16-48 hr, second treatment after 48 h) induces G2/M phase arrest in Caco-2 cells, and a second treatment administered after 48 h potentiates this effect^[1].
