Biological Activity: Sutherlandin trans-p-coumarate is a selective γ-hydroxynitrile glycoside compound with moderate inhibitory activity on nitric oxide (NO) production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages (56.9% inhibition at a concentration of 25 μg/mL). Sutherlandin trans-p-coumarate can be naturally extracted from the dried aerial parts of Sorbaria sorbifolia (a plant of the genus Sorbaria in the Rosaceae family)[1].
