Aquastatin C is a glycoaromatic derivative that can be found in Sporothrix sp. FN611. Aquastatin C is a substance that neither regulates bacterial enzymes nor inhibits bacterial growth^[1].

In Vitro

Aquastatin C does not inhibit purified S. aureus FabI, S. pneumoniae FabK, or M. tuberculosis InhA enzymes, with IC₅₀ values >100 μM for all targets^[1].
Aquastatin C does not inhibit the growth of S. aureus RN4220, methicillin-resistant S. aureus CCARM 3167, or S. pneumoniae KCTC 5412, with MIC values >128 μg/mL for all strains^[1].
