Tetrazolium violet is a redox indicator commonly used in various biochemical assays to measure cell viability and metabolic activity. Tetrazolium Violet has unique chemical properties that allow it to be reduced by cellular enzymes such as dehydrogenases to form a purple formazan product that can be detected spectrophotometrically.
