Biological Activity
2'-Deoxyadenosine-5'-triphosphate trisodium,100 mM Solution,PCR Grade (0.01-0.5 mM; 600 sec) induces dose-dependent mitochondrial permeability transition in isolated mouse liver mitochondria, with a half-maximal response at 0.03 mM, and this induction is sensitive to cyclosporin A but not z-VAD[2].
dATP is required for apoptosome assembly and subsequent procaspase-9 activation in cell-free extracts, a key step in the intrinsic apoptotic pathway[3].
dATP directly induces specific cytochrome c release from isolated mitochondria, initiating a key step in the intrinsic apoptotic pathway[3].
2'-Deoxyadenosine-5'-triphosphate trisodium,100 mM Solution,PCR Grade (400 μM; 2 h) increases Escherichia coli K-12 membrane-damaged attached cells by over 2-fold and total attached cells by ~1.6-fold, and (400 μM; 2 h in planktonic cultures or 16 h in biofilms) increases eDNA release by 48% in planktonic cells and 200% in biofilm matrices[4].
2'-Deoxyadenosine-5'-triphosphate trisodium,100 mM Solution,PCR Grade (400 μM; 60 min) increases Acinetobacter baumannii adherence to human bronchial epithelial NCI-H292 cells by 100-fold, from 1.6×104 to 8.79×105 CFU/cm2, and promotes bacterial aggregate formation[4].
