Taxinine A (compound 38) (10 μM; 30 min) shows little to no inhibition of Ca2+-induced depolymerization of purified microtubule protein[1].
Taxinine A epoxidation with meta-chloroperoxybenzoic acid selectively generates the α-4(20)-epoxide in 99% yield, while dimethyldioxirane produces a 2:1 mixture of α- and β-4(20)-epoxides with a 66% overall yield[1].
