Biological Activity: BODi-3 is an orange fluorescent dye. As a cell-impermeable nucleic acid stain, BODi-3 exhibits no fluorescence in the absence of nucleic acids, but shows multiple fluorescence enhancement upon binding to dsDNA. BODi-3 can be used for nucleus imaging, bacterial and sperm labeling, nucleic acid detection and amplification, and as a temperature sensor.
