RN277 is a selective LRRK2 inhibitor with an IC50 of 135 nM against LRRK2 RCKW kinase. RN277 inhibits LRRK2-mediated phosphorylation of Rab8a. RN277 rescues the motor activity of kinesin inhibited by LRRK2 RCKW in vitro, and its mechanism of action may involve preventing LRRK2 from forming filamentous structures on microtubules. RN277 can be used in studies related to Parkinson's disease .
