Elebsiran (VIR-2218) sodium is a siRNA that targets and degrades hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis D virus (HDV) RNA transcripts. Elebsiran sodium leads to a significant decrease in HBV surface antigen (HBsAg) and a reduction in viral load.
