SEW-05929 is an inhibitor of E. coli SecA ATPase (N68SecA). SEW-05929 is applicable to research related to SecA ATPase in bacterial protein translocation and bacterial infections^[1].

In Vitro

SEW-05929 (100 μM; 20 min) competitively inhibits the unregulated E. coli N68SecA ATPase, with a K_i of 18 μM and an IC₅₀ of approximately 30 μM^[1].
SEW-05929 binds to the ATP-binding site of SecA, forms hydrogen bonds with Lys108, Glu210 and Arg509, and engages in hydrophobic interactions with Thr104, Gly105, Gly107, Gly392, Gly510 and Thr511^[1].
