Antimicrobial agent-53 is an antimicrobial agent. Antimicrobial agent-53 can be used in the research of tuberculosis and methicillin (HY-121544)-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections^[1].

In Vitro

Antimicrobial agent-53 (Compound 3) racemic mixture inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosisH37Ra and MRSA with an MIC of 64 μg/mL for both strains, while its resolved enantiomers showed no activity against these strains^[1].
