GlcB-IN-1 is an inhibitor of Mycobacterium malate synthase (GlcB) with an IC₅₀ of 1.05 μM. GlcB-IN-1 can be used for the research of tuberculosis^[1].

In Vitro

GlcB-IN-1 (compound 19) binds to malate synthase (GlcB) from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and the resulting complex retains the closed active site lid and the "inward" conformation of the CoA-binding loop, forming a weak hydrogen bond with Met-631^[1].
