Biological Activity
SNCB Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived SNCB, expressed by E. coli , with His labeled tag. ,
SNCB is a non-amyloid component of senile plaques found in Alzheimer disease. It may act as a regulator of the SNCA aggregation process and protects neurons from staurosporine and 6-hydroxy dopamine (6OHDA)-stimulated caspase activation in a p53/TP53-dependent manner. Additionally, SNCB contributes to restoring the SNCA anti-apoptotic function abolished by 6OHDA but is not found in the Lewy bodies associated with Parkinson disease.
