By binding to α-synuclein, 1-Aminoindan promotes the formation of its neuroprotective "cyclic" conformation, thereby reducing the misfolding and aggregation of α-synuclein. 1-Aminoindan is a metabolite of Rasagiline (HY-14605A). 1-Aminoindan can be used in research related to Parkinson's disease [1] .
