1-Aminoindan
Based on 1 Customer Validation
1-Aminoindan (1-Indanamine; 2,3-Dihydro-1H-inden-1-amine) is an α-synuclein (α-synuclein) binder. By binding to α-synuclein, 1-Aminoindan promotes the formation of its neuroprotective "cyclic" conformation, thereby reducing the misfolding and aggregation of α-synuclein. 1-Aminoindan is a metabolite of Rasagiline (HY-14605A). 1-Aminoindan can be used in research related to Parkinson's disease.

Biological Activity
1-Aminoindan binds to the soluble monomeric structures of C1, C4, C5 and C8 of α-synuclein, and induces the formation of a neuroprotective "circular" conformation, thereby reducing the misfolding and aggregation of α-synuclein[2].
1-Aminoindan binds to distinct sites on human adenosine A1 and A2a receptors, and interacts with residues F171, L250, I274, I270 and N254 of A1R, as well as residues F163, E164, L244, M265 and I269 of A2aR[2].
