Biological Activity: 1-Aminoindan (1-Indanamine; 2,3-Dihydro-1H-inden-1-amine) is an α-synuclein (α-synuclein) binder. By binding to α-synuclein, 1-Aminoindan promotes the formation of its neuroprotective "cyclic" conformation, thereby reducing the misfolding and aggregation of α-synuclein. 1-Aminoindan is a metabolite of Rasagiline (HY-14605A). 1-Aminoindan can be used in research related to Parkinson's disease[1][2].
