Rivoglitazone regulates fatty acid storage and uptake, glucose homeostasis, and cardiac glucose/fatty acid metabolism. Rivoglitazone reduces levels of hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, and hypertriglyceridemia, decreases hepatic glucose production, and accelerates plasma triglyceride clearance.
