Glycerol dioleate is a lipid capable of forming Lyotropic Liquid Crystal (LLC). When formulated with phosphatidylcholine and exposed to aqueous media, glycerol dioleate constructs an inverted hexagonal (HII) phase structure with sustained-release properties.
