Boc-Ala-Ala-OH binds to self-assembled metallopeptide cage 12 in a 9:1 D2O:d6-DMSO solvent system with a binding constant of 2,541 M−1, and its binding affinity is stronger than that of the dipeptide Boc-Ala-Pro-OH[1].
Boc-Ala-Ala-OH undergoes a mixed acid anhydride coupling reaction with H-Asp-SBzl·HCl to generate Boc-Ala-Ala-Asp-SBzl[2].
Boc-Ala-Ala-OH undergoes a mixed acid anhydride coupling reaction with H-Asp (OBzl)-CH2Cl·HCl to generate the intermediate Boc-Ala-Ala-Asp (OBzl)-CH2Cl; this intermediate is then deprotected to yield the final product Boc-Ala-Ala-Asp-CH2Cl[2].
