Eco-DEHCH
Eco-DEHCH is a phthalate-free alternative plasticizer that safely and effectively softens plastics such as flexible PVC. Eco-DEHCH shows low binding affinity for various endocrine receptors, including estrogen, androgen, glucocorticoid, thyroid receptor α and thyroid receptor β. Eco-DEHCH causes dose-dependent accumulation of α2u-globulin in the kidneys of male Han Wistar rats, but has overall general safety.

Biologische Aktivität
Eco-DEHCH shows low binding affinity to human ERα, AR, GR, TRα, and TRβ, with binding scores of -6.9, -5.3, -7, -6.5, and -7.7 kcal/mol respectively, all weaker than the respective positive controls[1].
Eco-DEHCH exhibits no agonistic or antagonistic effects on human ERα in hERα-HeLa-9903 cells or on human AR in 22Rv1/MMTV_GR-KO cells[1].

Eco-DEHCH (1,600-16,000 ppm; p.o.; daily; 52 weeks) has generally safe chronic 52-week dietary exposure in Han Wistar rats, with the only exposure-related effect being male-specific α2u-globulin accumulation (not relevant to humans), and the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) is the highest tested dose of 16,000 ppm (estimated 912.8 mg/kg/day for males, 1,208.2 mg/kg/day for females)[2].
