Silicon dioxide
Based on 2 publication(s) in Google Scholar
Silicon dioxide (Silica) is the core of gold-coated silica nanoparticles. Silicon dioxide has the characteristic of a spherical structure, with a layer of gold nanoparticles covering its surface. Silicon dioxide can be used as a coating material for quantum dots, enhancing their stability, reducing toxicity and improving hydrophilicity.

Biologische Aktivität
Silicon dioxide-based nanoparticles (SiO₂NPs) are one of the most widely used nanomaterials, and are extensively applied in industries, cosmetics, and biomedical fields. However, SiO₂NPs can damage decidualization by disrupting the autophagy process, which may lead to embryo absorption [1].
Silicon dioxide-coated quantum dots, as a multifunctional nanoscale platform, can be used as fluorescent markers for in vitro detection, for biomolecular sensing, and for in vivo and in vitro imaging [2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
